RAD has a wide range of battery-operated torque wrenches with high torque. These are available in 6 Series: the basic series B-RAD SELECT, the B-RAD OFFSET, the advanced B-RAD X, the transducer-controlled B-RAD-S, the extended B-RAD EGX-R, and the SDM series.
Why a battery torque wrench?
By using a battery-powered torque wrench, you can work without cables. This is especially an advantage when working in tight spaces.

- The B-RAD SELECT is the basic model. Very simple to operate, with just two buttons to operate the 7-segment illuminated display. This series covers a torque range from 50 Nm up to as high as 15.000 Nm.
- B-RAD OFFSET battery series. The B-RAD OFFSET is based on the standard B-RAD SELECT series and offers all the features that make these tools so popular and user-friendly. These parallel-connected battery wrenches have all the features that make these tools so popular and easy to use. With one major difference: the power multiplier has been moved outwards, so B-RAD OFFSET wrenches fit in places where standard wrenches can't be used. Also, these wrenches are suitable for use in the toughest conditions.
- B-RAD EGX-R. This series of torque wrenches is based on the B-RAD SELECT. It has been adjusted by means of an extension in such a way that one can work in a standing position. For example, this torque wrench is widely used for railway applications. In addition, the EXT-R can be used to reach bolts in places that are difficult to access. Because the force multiplier is placed at the bottom, a standard reaction arm can be used.
- The MB-RAD is the advanced model. Equipped as standard with data logging via Bluetooth. The MB-RAD series has a range from 30 Nm to 7,000 Nm. Moreover, in addition to data storage, functions such as angle rotation and torque + angle limits are built-in as standard in this series. The functions can be set via the menu on the display at the back of the tool. The MB-RAD is optionally available with ProTight™ process control software. ProTight™ software works on Windows PCs, laptops and tablets.
- The B-RAD-S battery torque wrench is equipped with the latest strain gauge torque transducer technology. Which constantly measures and adjusts the torque output (closed loop). Making these tools insensitive to changing bolt conditions such as friction, temperature and joint hardness. The transducer is also located at the end of the power multiplier. As a result, various factors do not affect the accuracy. Think of wear in the force multiplier, the lubrication of the bolt, the ambient temperature, and the hardness of the connection. With other brands that supply torque wrenches with transducer, this is located between the engine and the power multiplier.
- B-RAD X battery series, the world’s most powerful battery-powered torque wrenches! RAD Torque Systems raises the bar once again with the all-new B-RAD X cordless torque wrenches. RAD Torque Systems is raising the bar once again with the all-new B-RAD X series of battery torque wrenches. This latest generation of RAD battery-powered torque wrenches boasts an impressive maximum torque of 15,000 Nm.
- The SDM BATTERY right-angle battery torque wrenches were originally developed especially for Boeing. With these torque wrench, very critical bolt connections can be precisely torqued in hard-to-reach places. Because of the compact design, the SDM gearboxes provides a solution for applications where tool access to the bolt is restricted and where high torque is needed. For example, in places where there is little space, but where high accuracy and a lot of power are required.
- ProTight™ tells the user per bolt what the procedure is, and which torque and which angular displacement should be set. This ensures that the task is performed correctly. This means that every bolt is at the prescribed torque, that bolts are torqued in the correct order, and that no bolts are 'skipped'. In addition, every action is logged in the system so that everything can be found and checked afterwards.
